The freshman girls basketball team traveled to Lorena Monday to take on the Leopards.  Even though they suffered a loss the game was a constant battle for he Broncos.

The Broncos came out a bit slow in the first quarter only scoring 4 to their 10. However, the Bronco defense came out fighting the second quarter holding the Leopards to just 3 points.  Genesis Vargas-Reyes added 2 more points the 2nd quarter to bring the halftime score to 13-6.  The third quarter was the best quarter for the broncos putting up 8 and holding them to 4. Key steals from Jayden Hayward kept the Broncos close going into the 4th.  The Broncos played a hard 4th quarter but weren’t able to hold off the Leopards, the final score was 24-19.  The Broncos will get another chance at the Leopards in 2 weeks at home.  Leading scorers against the Leopards are as follows:
