The Lake Belton Baseball has clinched a district championship in its inaugural season by beating Burnet 8-4 on Tuesday afternoon.
It didn’t start off great for the Broncos as the Burnet offense loaded the bases in the first inning. Mason Gerrard buckled down and only gave up one run.
The Bronco offense didn’t score until the 4th inning, but came up big with 5 runs.
Top hitters for the Broncos were Connor Bartz- 2-4, Peanut Brazzle 2-4, and Mason Trovinger 2-4.
Mason Gerrard was the winning pitcher going 6 innings giving up 2 runs with 7 k’s and 1 walk.
The win secures first place for the Broncos as the Taylor Ducks lost to Gateway last night 7-6.
